The greatest advantages of buying en primeur wines are the pricing and availability. The château release their prices several weeks after the Futures Tastings. Only those wine merchants registered within the Bordeaux region have the opportunity to purchase from the ‘Place de Bordeaux.’ Even if you are not a wine professional, you can benefit from buying wine before it is bottled and released. The Future price of wine is almost always lower than the market price about two years later. Buying Future Wines also gives you access to highly saught after wines that will be difficult to obtain once released on the market. Its also allows you to choose your bottle formats from half bottles up to a 15L Nabuchodonsor of Sociando-Mallet.
Millesima is the 5th largest buyer of ‘en primeur’ wines in Bordeaux. This means our range of 100-150 châteaux Futures can meet the needs of everyone, from wine newbies up through those who have been collecting top growths since before I was born.
